03 | Fighting for Breakthrough in your Finances- The Double Portion

Notes for Fighting for Breakthrough in your Finances-3
The Double Portion, the kingdom way to break the curse of lack in your life

Luke 8:10 Jesus said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you,

Proverbs 6:10-11 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest— and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.

Matthew 6: 31-33 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

God began to teach His people about supernatural provision with the Sabbath.

Exodus 20:10 the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter

Exodus 16:29-30 Bear in mind that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days.

The Sabbath day is only possible if you receive a double portion before the Sabbath.

Exodus 23:10-11 “For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops, but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused… Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.

Deuteronomy 15:1 At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts…

God also commanded them in the Sabbath year to cancel all debts.

Deuteronomy 15:4 However, there need be no poor people among you, for in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess as your inheritance, he will richly bless you…

Leviticus 25:8-11 “‘Count off seven sabbath years—seven times seven years—so that the seven sabbath years amount to a period of forty-nine years… Consecrate the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants… The fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; do not sow and do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the untended vines.

Leviticus 25:20-21 You may ask, “What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?” I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years.

Hebrews 4:9-10 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.

Colossians 2:17 the Sabbath day is a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

Ephesians 3:20 Amplified Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,

Most of us have walked by our double portion because we didn’t see it or know how to find it!

John 6:12 When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.”

God doesn’t have any money- it is a product of an earthly kingdom.

God will work with us to capture wealth or create wealth in the earth by giving us supernatural revelation (ideas).

Mark 8:14-17 The disciples had forgotten to bring bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

"Be careful," Jesus warned them. "Watch out for the yeast of the Pharisees and that of Herod."
They discussed this with one another and said, "It is because we have no bread."
Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: "Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?

Galatians 4:1, 7 as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate… So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

vv. 18-21 Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don't you remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?"

"Twelve," they replied.

"And when I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did you pick up?"       They answered, "Seven."

He said to them, "Do you still not understand?"

In the story of the multiplication of fish and bread, we find the principles of the kingdom laid out so that we copy it and do the same thing that Jesus did.

John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Mark 6:37-38 But he answered, "You give them something to eat."       They said to him, "That would take eight months of a man's wages! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?"
"How many loaves do you have?" he asked. "Go and see.

Step One: You must release what it is you need into the kingdom.

Genesis 1:11 Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind

I Kings 17:12-14 But she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I have no bread, only a handful of flour in the bowl and a little oil in the jar; and behold, I am gathering a few sticks that I may go in and prepare for me and my son, that we may eat it and die."
Then Elijah said to her, "Do not fear; go, do as you have said, but make me a little bread cake from it first and bring it out to me, and afterward you may make one for yourself and for your son.
"For thus says the LORD God of Israel, 'The bowl of flour shall not be exhausted, nor shall the jar of oil be empty, until the day that the LORD sends rain on the face of the earth.'"

2 Kings 4:1-4 Now a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, "Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the LORD; and the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves."
Elisha said to her, "What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?" And she said, "Your maidservant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil."
Then he said, "Go, borrow vessels at large for yourself from all your neighbors, even empty vessels; do not get a few.
"And you shall go in and shut the door behind you and your sons, and pour out into all these vessels, and you shall set aside what is full."

God will only multiply what you have dominion over-what you have or own.

Luke 5:4-7 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

Money can be released for money or for something you name, because money is a bartering system that we use to acquire just about anything on the earth.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

Matthew 13:12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance.
