Notes on
Becoming An Issachar Generation-3
Understanding God’s Endgame
I Chronicles 12:32 from Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should
Revelation 17:3-18 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads… he name written on her forehead was a mystery: babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth…. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits… The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
Revelation 17:6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.
The people in Jesus’ time thought that Jesus’ first coming was actually His second coming and that He would to set up an earthly kingdom at that time.
Luke 19:11-12 NKJV Now as they heard these things, He spoke another parable, because He was near Jerusalem and because they thought the kingdom of God would appear immediately. Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.
I Corinthians 15:24-25 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
The end of the age will take place when Jesus has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. He must reign until He has put all His enemies under his feet.
Luke 19:13 So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Occupy until I come.’
Mark 13:32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father
In this parable, Jesus tells us who we are: we are an occupying army.
I Peter 4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.
Commission #1: Have dominion.
Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
You are to enter one of the mountains of influence on this planet and occupy it by having dominion over it.
Matthew 13:32-33 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
Commission #2: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Genesis 39:2-4 The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.
Commission #3: Go and make disciples OF all nations.
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
When we only make disciples IN nations, what we are really building is just a greenhouse.
We need to disciple and train God’s sons and daughters to be the occupying army where all the real battles and victories happen in the world we are occupying!
God’s Endgame is that the kingdoms and mountains of the world become the kingdoms and mountains of our God.
Revelations 11:15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
One: Get your eyes off yourself.
Philippians 2:4 says, do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Galatians 6:7 says, Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
Two: Evaluate the spiritual environment around you.
Matthew 10:16 “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.
Three: Get rid of judgmental attitudes toward people.
Four: Remember that you are always on assignment.
I Peter 3:15 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
Acts 8:29-30 The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.” Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.
