Finding My Unique Purpose
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
God has already been working His purpose in you to get you to fulfill His great purpose in your life.
Philippians 2:13 For it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to desire and to act for his chosen purpose.
Your passion tells you where God wants you to make a difference. Your giftings or talents tell you what you will be doing to make a difference with your life.
Genesis 16:12 This son of yours will be a wild man, as untamed as a wild donkey! He will raise his fist against everyone, and everyone will be against him. Yes, he will live in open hostility against all his relatives.”
Revelation 17:3-18 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads… he name written on her forehead was a mystery: babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth…. The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits… The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
The seven mountains that influence the people on the earth are business, government, family, religion, media, education, arts/entertainment.
The U.S. Supreme Court said in 1892:
“Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based upon and embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind. It is impossible that it should be otherwise; and in this sense and to this extent our civilization and our institutions are emphatically Christian.”
Samuel Chase (signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the first Supreme Court Justices 1799: said this: “By our form of government, the Christian religion is the established religion.”
George Washington said “It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.”
God expects us to go into these seven mountains and occupy them and change them for His kingdom.
Revelation 11:5 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”
I Corinthians 15:24-25 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.
The end of the age will take place when Jesus has destroyed all dominion, authority and power.
Luke 19:12-13 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Occupy until I come.’
Mark 13:32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father
Jesus tells us who we are: we are like an occupying army.
I Peter 4:12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
Matthew 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and violent men take it by force.
Commission #1: Have dominion.
Genesis 1:28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
You are to enter one of the mountains of influence on this planet and occupy it by having dominion over it.
Matthew 13:32-33 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”
Commission #2: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
Genesis 39:2-4 The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.
Commission #3: Go and make disciples OF all nations.
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
