Angels hear the promise of God spoken from our mouths and work to make it happen in our lives.
Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them.
Psalm 91:11 For He will give His angels orders concerning you, To protect you in all your ways.
2 Corinthians 2:11 I have done this so that we may not be taken advantage of by Satan. For we are not ignorant of his schemes.
I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
Demons can’t just devour anyone. They are looking for those they can devour.
We have been given all of Jesus’ authority over demons. We do not need to be afraid of the devil or demons.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
God has limited the authority of demons.
Jude 6 And angels who did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper dwelling place, these He has kept in eternal restraints under darkness for the judgment of the great day

People who are not born again have little protection against demons and demonic attack.

I John 2:9-11 Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness. Anyone who loves their brother and sister lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.
Luke 11:35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
When you allow sin in your life, you allow darkness to enter your mind and as soon as you do, demons have a legal right to touch you.

Our mind is a collecting ground of voices: we hear the voice of God, demonic voices and the voice of our human spirit. Just because you have a thought, it doesn’t mean that it was your thought.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Genesis 3:2-5 The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
The second way demons try to touch us is through temptation.
James 1:14-15 each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
As you think on those evil thoughts, they begin to torment you day and night. This is what oppression is.
The answer is to rebuke the demonic thought and replace it with scripture which is God’s thought.
Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Luke 4:3-4 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;
Galatians 5:16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? Colossians 3:5-7 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them.
I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Nightmares are an area of our life where demons are trying to steal your sleep from you, instill fear in you and mess you up.
Father, I dedicate my sleep tonight to you. Your word says in Psalm 127:2 that you give blessings to His beloved in sleep. In Psalm 4:8 you say that In peace I will both lie down and sleep. I receive that peace tonight in Jesus name, Amen!
When Satan can’t get to you any other way, he will use the people in your life to hurt you.
Job 2:9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold firm your integrity? Curse God and die!”
Satan can absolutely use watching television and things we see online to implant evil thoughts and ways of thinking in our life.
Proverbs 4:23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life.
Job 3:25 For I feared a fear, and it has come upon me, and that which I dreaded has come to me.
Objects do have the ability to hold demonic powers, especially objects that represent tribal gods or demons.
Acts 19:19 And many of those who practiced magic brought their books together and began burning them in the sight of everyone; and they added up the prices of the books and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver.
