Palm Sunday 2025 | The Lord Needs You

Luke 19:28-34 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As he
approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his
disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt
tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are
you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the
colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
They replied, “The Lord needs it.”

Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king
comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a
donkey.

God doesn’t need anything.

Acts 17:25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself
gives all men life and breath and everything else.

God doesn’t need us for fellowship.

God wanted children that He could partner with to do His greatest works on this planet.

God decided to need you.
2 Kings 19:35 That night the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and
eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning—there
were all the dead bodies!

2 Kings 19:20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah saying, "Thus says the LORD, the
God of Israel. Because you have prayed to Me about Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard
you."

Ezekiel 22:30-31 "And I searched for someone among them who should build up the wall and
stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one."Thus I
have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; their
way I have brought upon their heads," declares the Lord GOD.

Genesis 2:19 Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of
the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man
called a living creature, that was its name.

Genesis 2:26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule
over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all
the creatures that move along the ground."

Mark 6:5 He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and
heal them.

God has created a structure on this planet in which He will not act apart from our
believing Him.

It’s God’s will that everyone be saved.

II Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is
longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to
repentance.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

II Corinthians 5:19 God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s
sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore
Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.

I Peter 3:18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you
to God.

Acts 3:1-3 One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three
in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate
called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.

When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money.

We need to see the invisible people in our life.

Acts 3:6: “If you are expecting silver or gold,” Peter said to him, “I have neither, but what I
have I will certainly give you.

Romans 10:13-14 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.  How, then,
can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom
they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?"
God will never do our part.

Matthew 16:19 You will have complete and free access to God’s kingdom, keys to open any and
every door: no more barriers between heaven and earth, earth and heaven. A yes on earth is yes
in heaven. A no on earth is no in heaven.”

Isaiah 59:15-16 The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice. He saw that
there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene;

God looks down from heaven and looks for someone to stand up for His people and His cause:
Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "… who will go for us?"

Our part is never supernatural.

Our part comes first.

Mark 16:15-18, 20 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all
creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be
condemned… Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with
them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Hebrews 11:33-34 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained
what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped
the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in
battle and routed foreign armies.

Talk to the person on your heart and invite them to church.
