Notes for
Building Your Unshakeable Dream-2
God has a dream for you!
Haggai 2:6 For this is what the Lord of armies says: ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land.
God has a dream for you and your life and that dream is the best possible life that you could live.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
The first step to dreaming with God is to understand God’s role on this planet and His role in our life.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge;
God is Sovereign until He speaks and then God chooses to limit Himself to what He has said.
Numbers 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
A better way to understand the Sovereignty of God is that God is in charge-it’s His universe, it’s His earth- but He has chosen to not be in control of everything.
Psalm 115:16 The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, But the earth He has given to the sons of men.
Matthew 18:14 In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.
Genesis 2:19 Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.
God wanted a family that would love Him of their own free will and accord and co-labor with Him for everything we do on this planet.
Exodus 8:5 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the streams and over the pools, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’”
Exodus 14:13-16 But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.”
Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to go forward. As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and the sons of Israel shall go through the midst of the sea on dry land.
I Kings 18:36, 38-39 At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command… Then the fire of the Lord fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, “The Lord—he is God! The Lord—he is God!”
Because God is our Father, His greatest joy is when we partner with Him for His will to happen on the earth.
Because God has made it His desire and joy is to co-labor with us, God has made Himself vulnerable to our desires.
Matthew 7:11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!
God’s will for this earth is a combination of His dreams and desires and your dreams and desires.
God has created a plan for eternity where He invites us into such an intimate and profound relationship with Him where what we dream and desire actually has a role in the outcome.
John 15:15 “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”
I Kings 8:16-17 Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name might be there, but I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.’
“My father David had it in his heart to build a temple for the Name of the Lord, the God of Israel.
You are God’s idea.
Spending time with God changes our desires. We always become like the one we worship.
God has determined that certain things are going to take place on the earth and they are happening right now before us. They are difficult things that will change our world, but God wants us to be part of that.
Matthew 6:25–33 Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? . . . For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
